On match days it may be best to arrive in plenty of time due to car parking. The Red Dot Bar does not have its own dance floor and this would need to be hired in.

Whittlebury Hall

Whittlebury Hall is located just off the M1 and M40 next to Silverstone Circuit with lots of complimentary parking. It is set next door to a Golf Course however this is run / owned by a different company so would not impact on perceptions of the venue.  The venue has a relaxed atmosphere and a dedicated team to look after delegates. The purpose built facility boasts 18 conference / training rooms and 25 syndicate rooms. For many of the conference or training rooms a syndicate room is included in the rate complimentary. The Brooklands has a stage, bar, a marquee and vehicle access, it can accommodate up to 500 delegates, the Brooklands also has a fully equipped kitchen which ensure the food is fresh and hot. Team building can be arrange whilst at Whitlebury Hall such as clay pigeon shooting, off road driving to a driving experience at Silverstone to name a few.

The Grand Prix room does not have windows however it does have large sky lights which allow lots of natural daylight into the room if required, these can also be blacked out if preferred. The Brooklands has 2 pillars in the room however these can be dressed up with lights for dinners, for day meetings these should be taken into consideration.

Mercure Abbey Hill Hotel

The Mercure Abbey Hill is located a 5 minute taxi ride from the train station in Milton Keynes and 29 miles from London Luton Airport. All meeting rooms have natural daylight if required and plasma touch screens which can connect to Bluetooth on laptops and mobile phones. The largest room at the venue is the Clubhouse Suite which overlooks the gold course situated behind the hotel. The private dining room at the venue has large windows and 3 chandeliers, the décor of the room is really nice and the events teams use lighting extra touches to create the ideal atmosphere required by guests. The Mercure has a nice outside area which would be ideal for pre-dinner drinks or BBQs in the summer, private dining under the fixed gazebo / balcony overlooking the golf course. The terrace area is an ideal space to relax and would be also be a great space for small informal events.

The reception area is quaint so I would consider using a syndicate room for check in if a lot of delegates arrive at once. The Clubhouse is a long and thin room however there are 3 plasma screens included so all delegates will be able to see presentations / videos, there are also speakers in the ceiling throughout the Clubhouse Suite.

Jury’s Inn – The Ballroom

The Ballroom at the Jury’s Inn has high ceilings and is a located on the designated meetings floor, it has a large pre function area with floor to ceiling windows and this would be an ideal space for pre event drinks.

The windows are quite narrow in the room and there are not many of them however with the use of lighting in the Ballroom this would not be a large issue. The venue do not offer car parking however they are car parking spaces across the road from the venue.

Holiday Inn Milton Keynes

The hotel is easy to find located in the business area of Milton Keynes and has reduced onsite car parking of 84 spaces. The hotel has 9 meeting rooms and the majority with natural daylight, 2 are smaller syndicate rooms with no natural daylight. The Academy at the Holiday Inn is fit for purpose, with all the meeting rooms located on the same floor and within the Academy area which are away from the main lobby area of the hotel, however delegates will need to walk through the open plan lounge area to get to the Academy area. The Sycamore room has floor to ceiling windows and opens out onto a terrace area, which would be great for pre-dinner drinks and then the dinner taking place in the Sycamore room.

Two of the meetings rooms in the Academy do not have natural daylight, these room hold up to around 8 boardroom so I would request a room with natural daylight if this is important. The area for lunch is not private and would be shared by other clients, if private catering is important another meeting room / syndicate room can be requested. The venue are unable to provide a buffet for numbers under 20 delegates however lunch can be ordered from the lounge menu.

Ramada Encore

This is a small and funky hotel with  a chilled out atmosphere with a small reception area. The meeting rooms are functional and both with natural daylight. The largest room can accommodate up to 64 delegates theatre style, for any clients looking for a small meeting on a budget this would be ideal.

The Ramada Encore does not have onsite car parking however they do have an  agreement with the Multi-storey car park located a 2 minute walk from the hotel. The venue currently charge for Wi-Fi for guests other than conference quests however this could be looked into if this is a priority. The 2 meeting rooms have access to them through the restaurant.

Mercure Parkside House

The venue has onsite complimentary car parking with 60 spaces. The venue has 5 meeting rooms with the largest accommodating up to 150 delegates theatre style which opens out onto an area which can hold a large marquee. The venue has outdoor space and a grassed lawn which would be great for team building events.

The venue is located through a residential area, for delegates without satellite navigation providing a map would be recommended. The hotel has 49 bedrooms so nearby hotels would need to be sourced if a residential event for the maximum capacity of the Orchid Suite, there are many hotels located a short distance away.

Hilton Milton Keynes Kent’s Hill

The hotel is in a good location and easy to find with onsite complimentary car parking. The Hilton Kent’s Hill has 14 meetings rooms. The largest of the meeting rooms is the Cranford Suite and this can accommodate up to 300 theatre style, which can be split into 3 sections. The foyer area has a bar area and is a large space ideal for pre-dinner drinks, the Cranfield Suite can be accessed from the foyer area.  One of the meeting rooms ‘The Boardroom’ is a lovely room with a sofa and coffee station inside, which is great for an informal chat before a slightly larger meeting in the room, the room overlooks a terrace area and this space can be used for lunches and/or coffee breaks.

The partitions in the Cranfield Suite are not sound proof so this would need to be taken into consideration if one section is requested and other client are using another section.

Doubletree by Hilton Milton Keynes Stadium

The Doubletree by Hilton Milton Keynes Stadium is built in to the stadium MK. The venue is easy to find with lots of complimentary car parking on site. It has 17 conference and event spaces which can accommodation up to 1000 delegates.  The Players room is on the ground floor with lots of natural daylight, its own bar which can be closed off if necessary. The venue have the Red Dot Bar which is open on match days however this could be hired privately on other days, a great funky space which can be branded to suit, an excellent location for parties. With 4 of the meeting spaces having a pitch view, the pre function area holding up to 700 delegates reception style, this is a great space and ideal for pre-dinner drinks. The venue also has Arena MK with up to 3420 square metres of event space.

On match days it may be best to arrive in plenty of time due to car parking. The Red Dot Bar does not have its own dance floor and this would need to be hired in.
