I recently took a trip to the Park Inn by Radisson York which is located on the banks of the River Ouse within a short walk of the centre of York.
This modern hotel offers excellent conferencing facilities for up to 400 delegates and makes a great place to stay for leisure. The hotel has 13 meeting rooms, the largest being the Henley Suite which takes 300 people in theatre style, 160 cabaret style or 200 for a dinner. The adjacent room, the Regatta Suite, can be used in conjunction with the Henley to boost conference numbers or for private registration, refreshments and exhibition space. Alternatively the Regatta Suite, which directly overlooks the river, provides a lovely location for dinners up to 60 guests. The bedrooms, some with views over the river, are modern with bright contemporary colours. Similar in style the RGB Grill & Bar, with a mixture of high and low comfortable seating, also overlooks the river and is the hub of the hotel with Costa Coffee and refreshments served all day. A large proportion of the hotel’s meeting space is currently undergoing refurbishment and this is expected to be finished at the end of June 2015.
