The Tate Modern opened its doors to its new meetings and events building The Switch House on Friday 17th June (picture below). The modern art gallery is situated on London’s South Bank and as part of its new extension features 7 new event spaces. The new space is an addition to existing space within the gallery however has less restriction being away from the main public space which can sometimes only be used after day time opening hours.

The new event space can accommodation delegates up to 600 in The Tanks, the largest space, for a drinks reception of 400 for a dinner.

There is also a viewing terrace on the 10th floor which can host dinners up to 80 and drinks receptions for 150 and offers a unique blank canvas space with stunning views.

The building will also feature a fine dining restaurant which can be privately hired for dinners up to 80 and drinks receptions for 200.
