Home to the Institution of Civil Engineers, the One Great George Street was designed by Scottish architect James Miller and celebrated its 100th birthday in 2010. It has been a Grade II listed building since 1984 and first became available for public events in 1989. Offering 21 flexible event spaces, the Edwardian building with rich neo-Palladian and Baroque interior, will undergo a series of works designed to further improve facilities, energy efficiency and accessibility.

The venue will be closed to the public from 20th June to 18th September 2016. During this refurbishment period, it will not be possible to book meeting rooms or use the venue for conferences. It will be business as usual for The Café Bar and Brasserie One, although Brasserie One will be closed in August as usual. Entrance to the building will be via the Storey’s Gate entrance until the refurbishment works are complete.
One Great George Street will fully re-open on the 19th September 2016.
