Views Of Shipwreck From New Events Space In Mary Rose Museum
The Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth has unveiled a new events space with views of the conserved hull of King Henry VIII’s favourite warship, following a 9 month, £5.4 million pound renovation. The Tudor warship that sank in the Solent in 1545 was revealed to the public on July 20th and has been described as the best view of the ship for 471 years. HMS Victory, Lord Nelson’s flagship at the Battle of Trafalgar, sits right alongside the building in Portsmouth Harbour, which is 10 minutes from the centre of Portsmouth. Packages include guided tours of the museum and is undoubtedly an exciting and unique venue.
