The South of England Event Centre is located at the South of England Showground in the village of Ardingly, West Sussex. All venue hire income from the South of England Event Centre is donated to the South of England Agricultural Society for educational and charitable use, for example, the Society supports local agricultural colleges with an annual competition for young adults with special educational needs. Held in March, the event also offers hands on experience of sheep dog handling and milking…using an artificial cow!
External event clients range from Art & Antique Fairs to Classic Motorbikes, from Farming & Countryside conferences to Wedding Fairs and in September 2017 a “Little Mix” open-air concert. With ample free parking for up to 6000 cars and a dedicated lorry park, organisers can be confident that delegates and guests will enjoy easy access to their events.
The South of England Event Centre’s 150 acres of open spaces has views of the South Downs and lies close to the Bluebell Railway, currently being visited by the “Flying Scotsman”. Corporate companies using the South of England Event Centre can plan leadership or team building events indoors or out with space to zone different activities around the grounds.
The Event Centre has invested in an extensive indoor and outdoor WiFi network enabling interactive participation and on-line connectivity, no matter where a delegate or guest is located. Inaugurated two years ago, the network has proved invaluable in attracting traders to attend the Agricultural Society’s 4 main shows.
The Event Centre has recently added a virtual on-line tour to their website with fantastic 360 degree views of facilities for meetings, training, conferences and events.
