The Grade II Listed building was originally built in 1903 as headquarters and congress centre for the Baptist Church. The interiors feature Regency-style moulded plaster ceilings and marble fireplaces with terracotta narrative panels above. The building fell into disuse in the early 1990s and had been on English Heritage’s At Risk register.
