The 96-room Admiralty Arch Waldorf Astoria London – the British capital’s first hotel under the Hilton luxury brand – will be built in the iconic Admiralty Arch building, which once housed the offices of James Bond creator Ian Fleming. The hotel, scheduled to open in 2022, will have three restaurants, a spa and a rooftop bar offering sweeping views across London’s skyline. The meeting space has yet to be defined. The historic building – which opened in 1912 and served as admiralty offices, residences of senior naval officers and Ian Fleming’s offices – was designed by Aston Webb, who also designed Buckingham Palace’s facade.
