A 150-bedroom luxury hotel is set to feature within a £70m world-class facility for women’s football, on a 60-acre site in Northwich, Cheshire, Cheshire County FA have announced. The site will become a leading centre for the provision of women and girls football with a WSL 1 club in talks to become a partner on what will become a “best in class” football environment.
The centre will include two FIFA-quality pitches, one with a 1000-seat stadium and the second to be used for training by visiting national and international teams. There will also be an additional eight pitches.
The proposed hotel will incorporate a spa with swimming pool and gym, fine-dining restaurant, bar, lounge, banqueting facilities for up to 400 covers and meeting rooms. Planning permission is yet to be sought for the project, which is expected to take 18 months to build.
