Westin, the Marriott International-owned brand that is focused on wellness, is to enter the UK with the launch of a 220-bedroom hotel in the City of London.
The Westin London City will overlook the River Thames and will open in 2020. The hotel will form a part of the redevelopment of the former Queensbridge House site and will complete the northern riverbank walkway between the Tower of London and Millennium Bridge.
The hotel will also have an indoor swimming pool, spa, fitness studio, ballroom, four meeting rooms and business centre.
Westin Hotels & Resorts was previously owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts which itself was bought by Marriott International in 2016 to create the world’s largest hotel company with a total of 30 brands. The opening of the Westin London City will take the number of Marriott hotels in the UK up to 18.
