The new expo centre for the Greater Berlin area has been completed in record time.  Situated immediately next to the new BER international airport which still under construction (due to open in March 2013) the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport is a versatile exposition and event-staging facility with three permanently installed expo halls with an overall size in excess of 20,000 sqm.  In addition there are spaces for open-air presentations, temporary expo structures and service facilities.

This is Messe Berlin’s second complex in the Greater Berlin region in addition to their traditional urban site Berlin ExpoCenter City am Berliner Funkturm. Preparatory work for building facilities for the International Aerospace Exhibition ILA has already begun on the new expo grounds. The Berlin Air Show 2012 will be staged here from September 11 through 16 as the leading annual event in the European aerospace industry. In January 2013, the new fashion fair PANORAMA Berlin will have its premiere at the Berlin Fashion Week.

Raimund Hosch, CEO of Messe Berlin GmbH: “As with immediate effect Berlin/Brandenburg boasts a trump card in the event business, with grounds in a first-class location. ExpoCenter Airport is the first trade fair venue to be next door to a major international airport, a unique selling point for attracting events and a significant addition to the established grounds next to the Berlin Radio Tower. It strengthens business in the Berlin/Brandenburg region and in future will significantly boost spending in Berlin and Brandenburg. “
