The ECA International report on the cost of a business trip has just been published and London is the joint 10th most expensive city in the world and sixth most expensive in Europe. The report covers the average costs for hotel accommodation, meals, drinks, laundry, taxi journeys and daily essentials. The fall in the value of the pound has meant that London still remains attractive to international visitors, despite the uncertainty of Brexit.

Looking at international destinations, New York is the most expensive location in the world for business travel. Geneva tops the list of expensive cities in Europe, with Zurich, Basel and Bern close behind. Dublin is now more expensive than Edinburgh, Madrid and Berlin. Hong Kong is the most expensive location in Asia followed by Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore.
