Amsterdam boasts a spectacular event venue for international meeting groups. A unique setting for dinners, receptions and parties is the Scheepvaartmuseum, dating from 1656 when it was built as the warehouse for the Admiralty of Amsterdam. Now completely renovated, the museum has several monumental rooms for group functions. Next to the museum two historical ships – the ‘Cristiaan Brunings’ steamship and the East Indiaman (VOC) ship ‘Amsterdam’ – are moored and can be used for events as well. But the most stunning new addition is surely the Open Courtyard, that was completely covered with a glass roof, allowing your guests to dine and party under the stars 365 days of the year. You can even offer your guests a private viewing of the museum’s exhibits.
