Voters in Spain’s Catalonia region, which includes the city of Barcelona, have given a majority to parties seeking Catalan independence. The Catalan president feels that the wealthy and influential North Eastern region gets a raw funding deal from the central government and separation from Spain is what’s needed to ensure economic stability in Catalonia.
