Crowne Plaza London Shoreditch has ceased trading as of the start of August 2013. The hotel is due to be completely refurbished over the next few months, entering business again with bedrooms and catering spaces in September/October, with meeting space expected to be re-opened by January 2014.

The hotel has new ownership and will comprise the sole UK property of the expanding Ace Hotels chain, mostly based in the USA. The hotel is expected to take on a boutique, artsy feel reflecting Shoreditch’s reputation as a hipster London locale.
