Balgove Larder Steakbarn
This is a very rustic and unique venue which would be great for private events. The barn is open during the summer months from Thursday to Sunday. The barn has the majority of its structure which is built up from huge wooden crates and a steal roof. With an open air style of cooking in a large open grill and oven, all the food served is to an exceptionally high standard with many of the produce such as sausages, steaks and burgers coming from the farm itself. The barn is situation down a long driveway, across from the car park, farm shop and café. This would be a lovely venue for summer parties, gatherings and informal dinners during the summer months. Due to the structure of the barn a site visit would be appropriate for any events due to take place during the start/end of summer due to temperatures.

The entire conference space can be hired for exclusive use. The Fairmont St Andrews has an Italian eatery which can be hired for exclusive use. The restaurant offers a relaxed and an informal setting with great tasting simple Italian dishes with exceptional service, an ideal location to break up any residential stay with a chilled and relaxed dinner. I really enjoyed the highland games event which was organised for us and the Burns Night dinner was truly unforgettable. The venue can offer a range of activities such as murder mystery events, a game of crocket on the lawn or a game of golf as it has a hickory golf course which has been rebuilt as used by the Sharpes’ family. The Hill of Tarvit is more geared towards dinners, drinks reception or weddings, if clients are looking for something a little bit different this would be an ideal, elegant and traditional venue. The venue can accommodate up to a maximum of 60 delegates for dinner and up to 100 guests for a drinks reception. If client are having a dinner they are unable to serve red wine in some of the rooms due to the amount of fine art work, original tapestries and antique flooring.
