The direct booking myth – why relying on inbound leads isn’t enough
It’s easy to understand why some venues believe they can go it alone. A beautiful website, strong SEO, and a steady trickle of inbound leads...
The Intercontinental at the o2 opened just 6 weeks ago, this hotel is a fantastic addition to Greenwich which is located directly behind the o2 arena and about a 5-10 minute walk from North Greenwich tube station. The hotel is packed full of history and interesting nautical artefacts which are links to the location’s trading history and it actually makes sitting in the reception and bar area very interesting and different to a “regular” hotel lobby.
The dedicated conference centre is vast and includes the Arora Ballroom which is absolutely spectacular, very large and can fit up to just shy of 1700 cabaret. It is stunning and yet very functional.
One of the venues great spaces, is the Clipper bar which offers light, bright area perfect for afternoon tea breakout or cocktails. The food in the hotel also has a slight Asian twist, another nice link to the area’s history offers a private dining room fitting up to 24 in the fine dining restaurant.
The Intercontinental’s official launch is likely to be around March/April time when the finishing touches are all completed.
